Margaret Moyes

Margaret has been the Chief Executive at Scottish Adoption since March 2008.  Prior to this, she was a Local Authority Children’s Services Manager in Dundee for 14 years with responsibilities for a range of Child and Family services including adoption services.


Julie Arbuckle

Julie has been a Senior Practitioner in the Family Placement Team at Scottish Adoption since 2015. She has been a qualified social worker since 2000 and has spent the last 20 years working in the Children and Families department at the City of Edinburgh Council.


Leasa Bleteau

Leasa has been a Senior Practitioner at Scottish adoption since Jan 2010 and is currently a member of the After Adoption Team. She has been a qualified social worker since 2002. Prior to coming to Scottish adoption Leasa was a social worker within a children and families area team.


Julie Connaway

Julie Connaway is our Children’s worker, organising our programme of group work as well as doing direct work with families.  She has been working at Scottish Adoption since 2007.  She has been a qualified social worker since 2003 and worked in Local Authority Children and Families until 2009.


Margaret Dunnett

Margaret has been a secretary at Scottish Adoption since 2000. Prior to this her experience has included working for the NHS. Margaret provides support to the Adoption Placement Team.


Vickie Foster

Vickie has been a Senior Practitioner at Scottish Adoption since January 2014. She qualified as a social worker in 1995. Prior to joining Scottish Adoption she worked in a children and families practice team and various residential settings. She is also a practice teacher.


Giles Greenslade

Giles qualified as a social worker in 1996 and has been a senior practitioner at Scottish Adoption since December 2006. Giles has experience of working in local authority children and families practice teams and before joining Scottish Adoption Giles worked for Barnardos. Giles is also a practice teacher.


Alison Hanlon

Alison is the Finance/Office Manager at Scottish Adoption.  She has worked at Scottish Adoption for 4 ½ years, previously in the role of Secretary – After Adoption Support.  Prior to this her experience has included working for Skills Development Scotland, Scottish Enterprise and Children 1st.


Judy Heyes

Judy is a Practice Manager responsible for Adoption Placement Services and has been at Scottish Adoption since May 2009. She qualified as a Social Worker in 1990 and has extensive experience of fostering, adoption and residential work.


Louise Hunter

Louise joined the Family Placement team as a senior pratitiioner in August 2014. She qualified in 2000 and worked for Falkirk Council for 14 years as a social worker and team manger in a Children and Families area team.

 


Trish Hunter

Trish has been a secretary at Scottish Adoption since September 2012. Prior to this her experience has included Scottish Government, MidLothian Council and the NHS. As well as being part of our reception team, Trish provides support to the Adoption Placement Team.


Maureen Kinnell

Maureen has been the Practice Manager responsible for After Adoption services at Scottish Adoption since 2002. She qualified as a social worker in 1982. She has been involved in Family Placement work since 1990 with a particular interest in adoption and has been a specialist adoption worker since 2002.


Alex McDonald

Alex has been a senior practitioner at Scottish Adoption since June 2012 and works in the After Adoption Team. He has been a qualified social worker since 2009 and worked as a Local Authority specialist adoption worker prior to joining Scottish Adoption. He is also an adoptive parent and adopted 3 siblings in 1997.


David McGregor

David joined the Scottish Adoption team in 2012 as the Marketing and Communications Officer with extensive marketing, communications and events experience in the Charity, Arts and Fitness industries. David has a background in digital marketing with expertise in SEO, PPC, Social Media Marketing and analytical reporting.


Gillian MacPherson

Gillian has been a senior practitioner at Scottish Adoption since August 2013.  She has been a qualified social worker since 2004 and has previous experience of working in local authority children and families practice teams.  Gillian is also a practice teacher.


John Nelson

John has been a Senior Practitioner at Scottish Adoption since August 2014. He qualified as a social worker in 2007. Prior to joining Scottish Adoption he worked in residential settings, a fostering charity and children and families practice teams.


Shona Newton

Shona graduted in 2007 with a qualification in Library and Information studies and joined Scottish Adoption in 2009 as an Archivist. Shona also works in the Edinburh University Main Library.


Julia Payne

Julia has been a senior practitioner at Scottish Adoption since December 2002. She has been a qualified social worker since 1978 and has previous experience of working in local authority children and family practice teams.


Trudi Reid

Trudi is one of two Practice Managers for the After Adoption Team and has been at Scottish Adoption since January 2010. She has been a qualified social worker since 1998 and has previous experience of working in local authority children and family practice teams.


Heather Robertson

Heather joined Scottish Adoption as Receptionist and brings with her a wealth of experience having worked in the Social Work Department, Criminal Justice and NHS Sexual Health for a period of years. Heather loves travel and her favourite sea is the Dead Sea in Jordan.


Kathryn Scorgie

Kathryn has been the Practice Manager responsible for Adoption Placement Services since 2009. She qualified as a social worker in 1996 and worked with children and families in local authorities. Kathryn joined Scottish Adoption in 2002 as a Specialist Adoption Worker and is also a practice teacher.


Amanda Steven

Amanda has been a Senior Practitioner at Scottish Adoption since September 2014. She has been a qualified Social Worker since 2008 and has previous experience of working in a Local Authority children and families practise team.


Christine Walker

Christine has been a senior practitioner at Scottish Adoption since February 2010. She has been a qualified social worker since 1996 and has previous experience of working in local authority children and families practice teams. Christine is a practice teacher.
