help us

Children are the most valuable resource we have in Scotland and are at the centre of our work at the Scottish Adoption Association.

Each year the Association has to raise between £75,000 and £100,000 from voluntary sources in order to maintain and improve our services to children and families in need.

Why We Need Voluntary Donations...

We need the voluntary gifts to enable us to continue to
provide all these important services

  • Support services for parents-to-be who may be considering adoption

  • Counseling and support for adoptees who wish to know more about their birth background

  • After care for children who have been adopted to help them settle into their new homes and schools

  • Develop new projects.

How Your Donation Can Help
  • Reuniting People - £50 helps us to help people who were adopted through the Episocopal Church and Church of Scotland’s disbanded adoption agencies

  • After-adoption - £75 gives an adopted child the chance to explore their worries and fears

  • Caring for Children - £100 allows us to provide counselling and support to anyone considering adoption for their expected baby

There are many ways to make a donation,
see below for details

Regular donations paid by Standing Order help us keep our administrative costs down. £5 a month may not seem very much but it really can help us to make a difference.

Gift Aid: Using Gift Aid means that for every pound you give, we get an extra 28 pence from the Inland Revenue, helping your donation go further.  Gift Aid doesn't cost you anything.
