And Violet Screening - Aberdeen

Following on from the successful premier in Edinburgh earlier this year, and as part of #AdoptionWeekScottland, Aberdeen City Council will be screening the award winning feature film ‘And Violet’.

And Violet…A coming of age, character driven drama about an adopted teenage girl’s troubled family relationships. While on a family day out, Violet meets her estranged birth mother. This fleeting but shattering moment permeates the lives of the girl, her birth mother and her adoptive family. Painful memories resurface, relationships become strained and spiral dangerously out of control, until the two mothers try to return stability to the life of their daughter.

AND VIOLET is a double winner at Arizona International Film Festival 2017, winning Best Dramatic Feature as well as a Special Jury Award for Best Performance for Hana MacKenzie.
