Scottish Adoption now manage several hundred information exchanges annually. It’s an important and valuable service for all parties involved in adoption and like all our services, one we are keen to improve upon.
Scottish Adoption now manage several hundred information exchanges annually. It’s an important and valuable service for all parties involved in adoption and like all our services, one we are keen to improve upon. As a result we are transferring the existing manual service to one which is computerised. We hope this will make it more efficient without losing the personal touch.
What will the change mean?
Each exchange will have a unique registration number which will help us identify your exchange. You’ll receive this number when your exchange is due to take place, some time in the next year. You should note your registration number in any correspondence with Scottish Adoption regarding your information exchange.
We’ll now be emailing you a reminder to send your exchange. Because we are dealing with so many it’s very helpful if you can send the information to us by the middle of the month the exchange takes place. That gives us time to forward it.
The new system is managed by our secretary Alison Hanlon and you will still have a named social worker who has overall responsibility for your exchange and who you are welcome to contact should you have any questions.
Please make sure you let Alison know if you change your address or email. Alison’s email is email@example.com
We are grateful for your patience while we get the new system up and running.
As always, if you have any suggestions on how we can improve the new system, we’d be glad to hear from you.
