Another Brick in the Wall – Free Teacher Training
Our Adoption Ambassadors would like to invite local teachers to attend the training event ‘Another Brick in the Wall’.
Scottish Adoption is a sector leading adoption organisation. We are a charity who provide adoption services and support to children and their families. Our expertise is built upon decades of practice, research and knowledge. Within our knowledge base, we pride ourselves on the learning we gain from working with young people within our established group work programmes. The voice, experiences and opinions of adopted young people sit at the heart of our organisation.
As part of Adoption Week Scotland 2019, our teens are taking over the running of Scottish Adoption for the full week. The Teen Take Over will include a series of workshops and events, designed and facilitated by the Scottish Adoption Teen Ambassadors.
As part of this event, the Ambassadors would like to invite local teachers to attend the training event Another Brick in the Wall.
Another Brick in the Wall will explore:
• Adopted Children’s experience within education.
• Areas of the Curriculum that are problematic for adopted children.
• Adoption related bullying.
• The impact of adoption experiences within the classroom.
This training is open to primary, high school and teachers in training and will take place at the Scottish Adoption Office on Friday the 22nd of November from 1.30pm until 3:30pm and you can sign up for your free place here http://bit.ly/FreeTeacherWorkshop.
