Music Masterclass with Nikki McDonald
We are thrilled to have Nikki McDonald supporting the Scottish Adoption Festival and agreeing to hold a music workshop with our families.
Nikki McDonald is an acoustic singer and songwriter based in West Lothian and has a BA in Music Performance. Nikki performs in local music venues and festivals, including Party in the Park and at Pride events and also offers private Vocal, Guitar and Popular Music Theory tuition for those who wish to further their own musical abilities. Nikki writes songs about the world around her and is influenced by Rie Fu, Biffy Clyro, KT Turnstall, Pink, Newton Faulkner, Ella Fitzgerald, Lzzy Hale, Idina Menzel and we are sure most importantly by her father, Alex McDonald’s musical tastes.
Nikki sang at our first ever Family Fun Day at the National Museum of Scotland back in 2012 so it is great to have Nikki back offering a Music writing workshop for all of our budding music enthusiasts. The music writing workshop will be held on Friday 24th of May at the Scottish Adoption office from 1pm to 4pm. If this interests you do let David know by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org to book your space. Nikki is also an adopted young person who has released her own music which can be listened to and purchased on iTunes and Amazon Music.
