We encourage all our adoptive parents to join our mailing list so we can keep in touch with you and let you know of any forthcoming events.  If you are not on our mailing list and would like to be, please contact alisonh@scottishadoption.org

Scottish Adoption and Fostering Parent Groups

At Scottish Adoption and Fostering, we understand the importance of community and support for families navigating the adoption and fostering journey. That’s why we offer a selection of dedicated parent groups designed to provide a safe and welcoming space for discussions and peer support.

Our Parent Groups:

  1. New Families Group: Tailored for new families created through adoption, providing a platform to connect with others who are at a similar place in their adoption journey.
  2. Parents of Primary Aged Children Group: Specifically crafted for parents with children in primary school, facilitating discussions and sharing experiences related to this crucial stage of development.
  3. Parents of High School Aged Children Group: Geared towards parents with teenagers, offering a forum to navigate the unique challenges and triumphs of parenting during the high school years.

Each group is thoughtfully facilitated by a dedicated member of our team to ensure a supportive and constructive environment. Our groups meet monthly online, allowing for flexible participation from the comfort of your own home.

Join our Parent Groups and gain valuable insights, share experiences, and receive peer support from a caring community. If you’re interested in attending any of our parent groups, please contact Leasa at leasa@scottishadoption.org. Your journey is important to us, and we’re here to support you every step of the way.
